NEW FACES CONTEST \"EASTER 2013\"
A 21-year-old former student of Anum Presbyterian Senior High,
Maame Serwaa Britton, was the lucky wannabe model who emerged
the face of Exopa for the March edition of the much talked about
Exopa New Faces contest.
She beat 12 other young models in what could be described as
competitive night of catwalk, good confidence, posture and talent
display. A lot of fashion enthusiasts including popular Ghanaian
actress Gloria Sarfo were there.
Maame had a tough time outshining the other contestants at the
preliminary stage of the night. Her catwalk and posture were as
normal as that of the other contestants, despite her good confidence.
However, she thrilled and got the judges on her side with her unique
Salsa performance. Her talent display with a male assistant was
tagged as the best talent performance since the inception of the
Exopa New Faces Contest.
Closely behind Maame Serwaa were 22-year-old student of the Lister
Professional Institute, Barbara McCarthy and Alexandra Okyere, a 19-
year-old former student of the Harvard Senior High School who were
adjudged first and second runners-up respectively.
The March contest, which was held at the Exopa Burg behind the
Trade Fair on Saturday March 30, coincided with this year’s Easter
celebrations. Upcoming musicians used the platform to enhance their
stagecraft and dish out some exciting performances.
MC Joel from TV3 also drove the show to a near perfection with his
jokes while fashion and modeling enthusiasts also assimilated the
runway excitement from the comfort of their seats.
Also on the runway were wannabe male models who battled for the
best catwalk, posture, confidence and talent.
At the end, Victor Appiah, a 24-year-old student of Lynda Online
Training Institute, emerged the winner. Twenty-one-year-old Stephen
Ahenkora of the University of Ghana and 19-year-old Tairu Oluwatobi
of Ghana Technology University College were adjudged first and
second runners-up respectively.
Winners will be enjoying a contract with the Exopa Modeling Agency
as well as other souvenirs.
The Exopa New Faces contest will bounce back on the last Saturday

AKUFO ADDO NAANA is EXOPA QUEEN of August 2012 !!
**Some names just have a way of attracting attention to the bearers and it therefore comes as no surprise that the newly crowned winner of the monthly Exopa New Face contest is raising eyebrows with her name; Naana Akufo- Addo. Questions are already being asked if the 19- year-old wannabe female model is one of the daughters of Nana Akufo-Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Naana was crowned the New Face of Exopa, who would represent the brand during the month of September, in the early hours of Sunday after a keen competition that started Saturday night amidst lots of stimulating entertainment. It was a thrilling evening of catwalk, dance steps and musical performances, after which Naana Gyanewaa Akuffo-Addo beat 11 other female models to emerge winner, while 18- year-old student of the Wisconsin University, Stephanie Olali and Belinda Biamah Asiamah, a 19-year-old graduate of Akosombo International School, took first and second runners-up positions respectively. The show as usual took place at the Exopa Burg behind the Zenith College. It attracted a large number of modelling and fashion enthusiasts and a section of the local media. Like the previous show, Saturday’s contest had male models also taking part in the competition. They indeed added some glitz and glamour to the show when they took their turn on the runway. In the end, 22-year-old artiste Roland Paul emerged winner. Emmanuel K. Tetteh, an undergraduate of the University of Ghana and Jesse Obeng-Somuah, former student of the Fijai Senior High School, were the first and second runners-up respectively. The show was indeed exciting. It started at about 10pm with a performance by an upcoming artiste called T.O.P, to pave the way for the models who hit the runway in African mini wears. There were musical performances by other upcoming Ghanaian musicians during the show. During the talent show, most of the models danced while a few sang. The winners have a contract with the Exopa Modelling Agency and other juicy packages including cover page articles in NEWS-ONE and spotlight exposure on Metro TV’s Allo TiGo. After a thrilling evening of catwalk, talent display, dance steps and music performances, 18-year-old Araba Biesema Crentsil was the female model who won the heart of the judgesto become the female winner. It was not a surprise to many who knew her because she had been training at the Exopa School for months. She won the audience’s attention with her catwalk, while 19-year-old Ebenezer Ojo won the male category. The two winners have also made it to the grand finale in December, where all winners of the monthly editions will compete for the ultimate prize. There were some amazing outfits by Vindiba shapes. That was followed by male models who also displayed some good designs. It was interesting how some of the male models went about the catwalk. Nana Akofena’s performance introduced the bikini segment. At this stage, every wannabe model that hit the runway was welcomed with applauds till the female models were done with that section. The applauds became louder when the male models took their turn. At the end of the show, the best persons won. \"SOURCE> NEWS-ONE\"
